Elena Sgarbossa is an Italian artist, active in the field of contemporary dance and performance.
She trained at the Corso Triennale di Danza Contemporanea of Balletto di Roma, enriching her practice through projects supported by national and international institutions.
Her artistic path weaves together choreographic processes and experimentation but also research and movement projects for communities.
The most relevant ones are the Dance Well – Movement and Research for Parkinson project, the EU projects Empowering Dance and the creation of the research group Flying Carpet.
In 2018, she approached the choreography experience with KEO, winning performance of DNAppunti Coreografici.
As a performer she has collaborated with Marco D’Agostin, Masako Matsushita, Yasmeen Godder, Nora Chipaumire, Chiara Frigo, Davide Valrosso.
Words such as sustainability, archive and wellness have a great impact on her poetics.
